Wow, that is an interesting thought. I firmly believe in the power of visualization. I also believe in the collective power of thought. You may be on to something! :-)

We can say whatever we want, but it still doesn't change the way the rest of the world is. The point I am trying to make is that ignoring a growing terrorist threat by sticking our heads in the sand and hugging a tree isn't going to rid the world of the problem, just make it easier to wipe us out. The people we are warring with would like nothing better than see us all dead or enslaved to their ideologies. We may not agree on everything in our country, but at least we have the right to have our own beliefs, and that, my friend, is worth fighting for!!! I agree that it would be nice if EVERYBODY was peaceful.

Saying we're at peace does not convince Al Qaida.

We tried that in the 90's. Didn't work.

"ticking our heads in the sand and hugging a tree isn't going to rid the world of the problem"

Doing that actually makes things worse. They perceive weakness and go for the kill shot (9/11). They do not believe us when we say we're loving, caring and peaceful.

that is called the law of attraction, the more you talk about something (either in a positive or negative aspect) the more you attract it to yourself. that is why you should never attend an annti-war rally, but you should always attend a peace-rally
