When I try to boot somebody from a rated game in Yahoo chess, I get a message that I can't boot somebody from a rated game.
This happens even before the game has started.

You have to stand up and then boot them.

Most likely it is because the other person closed completely out of the game whether or not they were the host and you lose connection or their computer is having connection problems which will boot you it has happened to me many times.

One of your answers seem to make some since about standing up and then booting them....but I'd rather avoid playing these sorry *** players all together.

technically a "yahoo chess sport" heavily isn't rated you want a actual sport with the united statesC.F. to have a actual score ....and convinced...its attainable to have a "spectator" booted, no longer your opponent

your problem may be that.unstarted game booting can only be done by host.if you are not host(you made table) you can't boot the other person.but they can boot you.
