Moodiness is a sign of immaturity. Excuses are a way to explain out of the embarrassment.

Because women feel the need to explain themselves. Usually if they don't apologize and give an excuse for their behavior, they are called a "*****" or an "asshole". They don't want people to think that they always act in a negative manner, so they're like "Oh, I'm on my period, I'm not usually a bad/mean person!"
Also, during periods and pregnancies, the hormones in the female body go haywire and women really DO get moody; so it isn't necessarily a lie!

They don't have to; they just feel obligated to explain their moodiness. It's not an excuse, so much as it's an explanation.
That being said, I know lots of women who use "that time of month" as an excuse to be an absolute terror.
Personally, when I'm having a bad day, I don't try to find an excuse, I just admit it and apologize in advance to all the people I'm going to piss off through out the day (coworkers, boyfriend, etc).

Moodiness is usually caused by chemical changes, usually hormonal and since women have more hormonal changes it seems they are more moody. However, I have know quite a few males that were humdingers when it came to being moody. I believe that's called bipolar and can happen to men as much as women. Also, being tired makes my man into a monster.

Because men just would not get it anyway. I was angry once and my husband said "Well! I can tell you're on the rag!" I wasn't at the time though and it made me more angry that he thinks it is only possible for a woman to be upset during her period. If your Zodiac sign is Cancer then you'r moody all the time anyways. The real reason women are angry is because of men.

I am not sure....I have wondered that myself, and I am female! If I am in a bad mood...I don't blame it on 'whatever' I just say what is causing the bad mood. When I was preg, I NEVER used that as an excuse for being moody....
Yeah, chemicals have a role in it, BUT most use that as an excuse just to get attention or even drugs...
Sorry, ladies *and men*.....OWN UP TO BEING B****Y....

Sometimes we say that for some reason. It is not really an excuse but some women have a habit of using that as an excuse. Mine was I have a headache. :)

Cause they're all emotional messes!! Seriously! You try to talk to them sometimes and it's like they're on Pluto having a popsicle and I'm at the dinner table trying to have a conversation.
P.S. They aren't all psycho moodies. I'm a chick.

Because it is the truth. It is called hormones.
And if they are lying it is maybe because you are not doing something right.
Now it is my turn
Why do men always have excuses for coming home late?
