If we really wanted to get even, we should have attacked Saudi Arabia. There is NOTHING to link Saddam to 9/11. Even the Senate Intelligence Committee announced today that there's no evidence that Saddam Hussein had ties to al-Qaida or to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi before the United States invaded Iraq.

Please don't generalize "Americans" Most Americans realized when the war started that we were headed down the wrong path, and just recently the unenlightened are beginning to catch on too. And As of today all new reports are showing that beyond a shadow of a doubt, Iraq had NOTHING to do with Al Queda, and in fact Saddam didn't want anything to do with "those hoodlums" As you say the only tie to Al Queda in Iraq is because of the us. "The Enemy of my Enemy, is my friend" Remember Bush didn't get elected President, he was appointed and he led alot of people down a primrose path full of lies, unfulfilled promises, and fed "TERROR" to a bunch of simpletons that fell for it.

I guess it is a matter of perspective. I think the people who still insist that our number 1 goal should be finding Osama Bin Laden are horribly naive and ignorant. The war on terror is a war against ALL terrorists, not a war against bin Laden or the war on al-Qaida. All people who support terrorism should be taken down, including a dictator who pays off Palestinian families to suicide bomb innocent Israelis.

I don't agree with the war in Iraq. But I would humbly mention that Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, just as much so as bin Laden and Zarqawi, and no less deserving of getting his a.s.s. kicked.

There was no link to Iraq other than Iraq supported terrorism. We didn't invade Iraq because of 9/11. It wasn't because of oil either unless you factor in that we didn't want Saddam controlling it.

quickly after 9/11 the Bush administration including our corrupt media networks provided the yank public with this argument and tried to enforce it for the longest time. They saved repeating the lie repeatedly returned till the week minded fell for the catch and believed the lie. as long as individuals get their counsel by our community networks, we are able to by no skill hear the actuality. those channels are actually not self sufficient and don't uphold journalism ethics. They marketed this lie for notably much 2 years till such many human beings grew to grow to be conscious it became into purely a lie. As for the troops, they save getting briefed by making use of their commanders and fed an identical lie to this date. i be attentive to that because of the fact I even have many buddies serving in Iraq maximum suitable now and that they tell me how techniques washed they are daily.

No Americans I know ever thought that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. No one I know ever bought the lie. I guess that's the good part about living in a blue state. We knew it was a lie from the beginning.

It is a Muslim country that was ruled by a dictator that President Bush doesn't like. That's how they justify it! He wanted to get the guy who tried to kill his father. Bush also saw Iraq war as a way to boost his popularity before and election. Americans love to vote for a president that wins wars. And it looked like Iraq would be a quick kick *** victory to make Americans feel good about their military might. And hey, it worked!! But now we are bogged down in a war that no one wants. Can you say "Vietnam" I knew you could!

Saddam Hussein only made one mistake in his life and that was to invade Kuwait. Until then he had the full support of the US government even while he was murdering thousands of his own people.

Can't figure it out myself. M best guess is that those liberals like putting words in people's mouths. They lie and lie and lie and keep saying that Bush says we are in Iraq because of 9/11 or Al qaida when he never once said that. No republican or conservative in a leadership position ever said anything remotely like that. First you guys say we only went there for WMD's that Bush lied about (when most of the world said the same thing) and now it's we went there because of 9/11. If you would stop whining about your loss of power and open your ears you would have heard Bush mention dozens of reasons to go to Iraq. How long are you guys going to be in denial?

If they do, they just aren't interested in it that much. They don't pay much attention to politics and just don't do the research necessary to believe otherwise. For a lot of people, they have more important things to worry about: bills, kids, TIVO, cleaning the house, family issues, etc.

So basically, politics for them isn't a priority. this is just my opinion, but you're right, America was mislead into going to war in Iraq. Why? i'm sure you know the reasons.
