Depends
Grandma has an old console tv that weighs over 100 lbs. But the newer 27" arent as heavy.
Yahoo shopping lists a 27" JVC tv at 95 lbs

It depend on the brand and the speakers in the television. A Sony Trinitron will weigh about fifty pounds. A JVC will weigh about 40 lbs. Most of the rest way a little less than that. Don't confuse bulk with weight. They are bulky but not really heavy unless you get the really big speakers with the really big magnets in them.

They are quite heavy. Likely 60 or 70 pounds. Most of the weight of most TVs like that is the picture tube. The rest is probably just a few boards and some plastic.

Yea, about 60lbs. Also, it's not just weight, for lifting it's a matter of awkwardness.

how thick is it? that is important. even if we did know the thickness we could probably not be able to figure it out. it depends on how heavy the makers wanted it to be
