My earliest unambiguously real memory is wearing an uncomfortable outfit (think powder blue leisure suit) and hunting Easter eggs around the trailer at the age of four. We lived in Florida on the outskirts of Gainesville in Indian Summers trailer park.

I have another that's me toddling towards an into a camper that an aunt and her boyfriend lived in northwest Georgia that I think is earlier, but it came to me in a dream, so I don't know if it's a bona fide memory or just an imagining on my part.

There's another one from probably around three that involves me being fascinated with the impressions on peanut butter cookies that mom made, but I don't know when it's from for sure. Mom has mentioned us having lived in a white house that I can sort of see in my mind, but don't know if it's really where we lived or some kind of amalgam of white houses I've seen in the area. Dunno if it's a real memory or just something my subconcious has cobbled together.

My first awareness of the passing of years didn't come till kindergarten and the change from 1979 to 1980, so dating stuff before that is difficult.

My earliest memory is about 3 years old at nursery school. i was at the jcc (now bjc) in toronto, and I remember for some reason that I had a timeout in the hallway.

Great question. I can remember a lot of my past, unlike some of my friends who can't remember anything fun we did growing up.

I remember several times before 2 yrs old. I was on our back porch with the rest of the family when neighbors came up on horses. One of the men gave me a penny and I swallowed it! I didn't realize what it was.We didn't get money back then at that age! Mom didn't even get excited since I was the 4th kid and she must have had experiences of all kinds! That old house was so cold and the walls were so thin you could throw a cat through them, as the old saying goes! Mom put the kitchen chairs around the heating stove in a circle and draped blankets and quilts over them to form a warm place for us kids during the day! I remember we moved not long afterward because I turned 2 in Jan. during the coldest times that winter.

Standing at the screen door eating an orange while watching a tornado go through the farm across the road. Mom came running and we went down into the basement for a few hours until the storm passed. Didn't hit our house or our land thankfully.

My earliest memory is at age 6. JFK was shot and everyone was crying at school. I remember that like it was yesterday.

my earliest memory.. hm.. would hafta be being breast-fed.

sure, m'draw to submersion in hot water in low light does hint as residual partial memories of the womb, but i don't think that counts.. for that is a remembered sensation comprised of multiple repeditive experiences.... not the memory of actual seperated instances/events.

I went to live with my adopted mom when I was 2 , but before that I lived with my birth moms parents. My Grandma would let me jump on my bed 10 times every night right when she was gonna tuck me in. I also remember an Ester that she let me eat way to much candy, and I remember throwing up on her the next day! I also remember that she had NO patients, and in my eyes and my adopted moms eyes my grand ma beat me and my cousins. I remember all of this. And I only lived with my grandparents till I was 2 . I swear on my life!

2yrs old, in my mothers' panel van going backwards down a mountain and her jamming the brakes on which made me fly forward, I was being a naughty girl by not staying in my seat, landing on a McNess jar and cutting my head wide open thereby bleeding copiously without realizing anything was wrong until my babysitter, who was riding with me, grabbed me off the floor and started screaming for my mother to stop! Go to the emergency room! Yeah, the van was broke down and the cut wasn't nearly as bad as it looked but it gave me a great scar over my right eyebrow....

When I was two and lived in a trailer park, there was this big hole in the front of our yard (dug out by a tractor). I was playing in it and saw a tarantula and screwed around with it.

Slightly after that I remember that years easter egg hunt.

My 3rd birthday.

I was wearing a pink frilly little dress, and we went to a club where my cosin and his band were playing. (He was the drummer.)

He took me up on stage, and sat me behind the drums, and gave me the drum sticks, which I then used with relish.

Later, he kept getting me Shirley Temples.

So, that's my earliest memory.
