It's just another publicity stunt, like the one Tom and Katie pulled by keeping their baby hidden from public view for so long. Who gives a damn?

I think Congress should set aside a day called "no media reports on celebrities and their silly stunts" and gives us a day off! Man, it's impossible to escape from it all.

Nope. I think what they are doing is rather pointless and could ultimately ruin their relationship. The government wont listen to two celebrities that are not getting married because "not everyone can". I thinks its a meaningless stunt just for attention(well obviously haha), not of the government, but of the people who are favorable in seeing their movies and that have the same views on the marriage situation. Just another attempt to increase their wealth, only in a some-what clever way though.

I think it's a nice gesture, but it reeks of a publicity stunt.

Also, I find it really hard to believe that the people in charge of changing the marriage laws really give a rat's *** whether or not Brad and Angelina get married. I personally think everyone should be allowed to marry whomever they want, regardless of gender. However, my opinion won't matter to the government, either. :)

Not that I care, but hasn't each of them been married before, to other people? If so, then the gesture is even more shallow than it was before.

As much as we may grumble over it, though, celebrity is power. In a country where more people will vote for the next American Idol than the next president, the fact that well-known celebrities stand for a cause can majorly benefit said cause.

haha...I read that today and laughed because unfortunately America is behind every country in the world in the fact that we will probably never allow same sex marriage. I think that was Brads way of getting out of marrying Angelina.

It is probably a ploy to hold out in case one really doesn't want to get married. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense! Who knows, he may run around on her too and she won't have to get a divorce and unscramble their finances!!

Who really cares what any celebrities think? They're so disconnected with the real world it's sickening.

I agree with them completely, but I will definitely say I think it is a publicity stunt.
