All dreams come from what is in our brains. They often reflect the general emotional state we are in, except twisted and distorted in many ways.
Pregnancy is a very emotionally draining experience as if the usual level of worries, fears and joys were not enough. It is a common fact that dreams can be more vivid, stronger and can occur more often during this time.
Just relax because they don't have any literal meaning. Once you wake up, it is all over. If it bothers you a lot, you may try relaxation techniques such as calm music, light reading or meditation before going to sleep.

It is probably just stress. I would say since you are not married and if your boyfriend has not offered to marry you that you have a fear that he is not going to stick around after the baby is born. It may be that you feel guilty about being pregnant without being married first.
Your hormone levels are different and I think most women have more vivid dreams when they are pregnant, because they have so many questions about the whole event including their relationship with the father and what kind of mother they will be.

It's all in your head. Having vivid dreams and even nightmares is common during pregnancy. It's generally caused by stress. You're stressed because you're worried about your baby, your boyfriend, work, home, other kids, etc etc. It's okay to have these dreams, they're scary and they suck, but they're just dreams. It's a way for your mind to work out your fears and what not so that you can deal with them better while awake. If they continue, or you can't get past them, then I suggest you seek counseling. A counselor can help you get to the root of what's bothering you and help you deal with it. Good luck. =)

I think it is very normal to have strange dreams when you're pregnant. Thoughts and hormones are all racing around inside you. I had some really strange dreams too. It may help if you talk to your boyfriend or a trusted friend about your dreams and how you are feeling. I remember feeling very alone and irrational at times.. I wish I had reached out to my friends and family for emotional support. Best of luck on your baby!

This is hormone related.
Most of my pregnancy dreams have been food related... (but then again, I have gestational diabetes...)
I have had a couple of interesting ones though too, like oops, I delivered at work (by myself in the bathroom hollering down the hallway, "Bring me shoelaces or string, and a sharp knife!!!) and oops found out I was pregnant in a rare condition... two babies each in a separate uterus! LOL.... here's the best part, they ere conceived days apart and one had to be induced, leaving me to deliver again days later. But... when I showed up to be induced, the doctor got mad at me and did a C-section on both of the babies (I'm due at Christmas time, right now six months) even though everything was decorated for the holidays... my babies were still three months pre-mature. Because they had to stay in the hospital (all in my dream mind you...) the doctor told me to go back to work and come back in a couple of days. Then he TAPED my BIG open C-section closed with scotch tape and sent me away! (also... I'm having a girl and both babies taken were boys!)
Sooooo weird.
But yes, this is normal. A little anxiety in your night time adventures is just your hormones acting up!
Good luck and congratulations to you!

Really its' all in your head. I had a dream once that disturbed me to the core while pregnant with my 5th. I dreamt that my oldest daughter was abducted 15 feet from me while we were at the park. And because I was so hugely pregnant and trying to get up off the ground where I was sitting while this man drove off with my daughter made me wake up and just bawl my eyes out to my husband. The emotions that stupid dream brought on were horrific. I could barely get back to sleep. I had to take some sleep aides.

It's all hormonal. I use to have these wicked dream like you. I woke up punching my BF in the head and pulling his hair!! Vivid dreams are normal during pregnancy, just try and clear your head before you go to bed, that may help. They say the last thing you think of before bed is the thing you will dream of. Think happy thoughts!!

They are totally normal especially if this is your first. Seems your innerself may feel overwhelmed and not ready - your dreams are the place where your innerself can gain experience and growth. Sometimes it's helpful to write these things down. It'll sure make an interesting and endearing thing to read in the future when you are a superwise old mom and grandma.
Congrats.

its totally normal to have weird dreams like that. You'll still have other weird dreams later on but dont worry they are just dreams.. Keep a journal about all the diff things you dream about and what happens during your pregnancy then when the baby gets bigger go back and read them again, you'll end up laughing about everything...
congrats & good luck with you pregnancy..
