Why do girls especially in high school hate eachother? I literally don't get it. I get jealous of another girl, but i don't hate her. What satisfaction do these girls get by calling eachother b*tches? It just makes no sense...

it is basic insecurity that takes over their commonsense.to overcome this start liking all the other girls in a friendly and genuine manner .just remember that they are n no of girly out there and each and every body have their positives and negatives and every body will have their own place in tthis world
you will sure develop in to a better person if you will be confident
and respect others

Honestly I wish I knew the complete and absolute truth to it. Alot of people say it's because of the way girls perceve themselves. Like someone who is insecure feels the need to rag on other girls to make themselves feel better. i wen tot an all girls high school so I have experienced full blown drama dealing with nothing more than a girl dating someone's ex. And most girls do like drama (that's why we like shows like the OC and Grey's anatomy) becuase it keeps them interested. But going full blown out and creating drama is usually a sign of low self confidence.

It's competition. They are competing for men, their social status, and friends. They want to make sure that they are the best and that everyone knows it. They fight because they want to make a scene and have people notice them.

I would suggest reading Queen Bee's and Wannabe's. It was the book that "Mean Girls" (the movie) was based on. I have read it and have a more clear insight to why girls act this way.

Like if a girl has high self confidence and other girls pick up on it, girls are gonna hate.. they would be like, she thinks she all that - but they might be trying to play off their lack of confidence by trying to down the other girl by calling her names

Very immature and childish behavior. It was the way they were raised. Their parents didn't bother controlling the meanness when they were little.
They think being mean is cool. Real life will hit back hard.

All women have a competitive nature, so just remember the feeling because they still call you a b*tch when you get older.

It is all part of growing up. I think some girls feel power when they are mean to others. Hopefully they will outgrow it or they will end up being the bitches that you avoid when they are older.
