At the biggining she was singing, but throughout the chorus she would like be lipsicking, and sometimes when she was singing they would almost mute her voice and have the recording playing? Why did they do that? She has a beautiful voice.

I'm watching Christina perform right know on the show, she is doing it a bit too, not as much as Rihanna though.

These stars had little time to prepare an exhausting performance. In order to save their voices and serve the purpose of the "performance", they make the performers lipsink. Thus why they are called "performers" or "artists." Yes, they all can sing....but try running a lap or two and not loose your breath to a melody.

That is common in those performances that feature dancing. Its hard to sing when your out of breath from dancing and doing some lipsyncing ensures a perfect performance.

I'm so suprised! It probably is hard to sing and do the physical stuff at the same time. Tina Turner is so much better.

I saw her on the Today show a while back and she sounded like crap. She may not really be a great singer. I like her songs, but they can make anyone sound good in a studio.

Yes, of course. She danced too much so she couldn't sing well, so...... The recording system had something to do, right? But I have to confess that she dance quite well on stage, on bed too. :-)

i duno why did that but i think they should have just left them to do it live cuz its true she really has a pretty voice.

yeah.. fergie was too.. during her london bridge performance.. i don't think she was lip synching during the opening performance.. i have no idea why they do it.. but i hate when they do

I didn't see it, but it wouldn't suprise me if she was doing a lip sync.
