ell excuse my mouth but that is bull ****.
The dealer is trying to cop out, the clutch adjust itself automatic and there is no maintenance you could have done.
The clutch is hydraulic and there is no adjustment you could have done to prevent it.
First talk to the service manager and tell him what I said.
If he cops out go over his head and talk to the dealership owner.
.
If it is still under warranty and thy have to fix it. As long as the warranty is in effect thy have to fix it.
Tell them to stop wining and get off there *** and fix the dam thing.

Go to some other dealer. Sometimes dealers just blow you off to avoid having to do the repair.

If that fails, complain to the local newspaper (they usually have a consumer advocate).

Simultaneously, write letters to your Attorney General, and the BBB.

Finally, blog about it and raise a general ruckus on the Internet. Be sure to take names.

All of this should get your problem resolved.

when you are not putting the trans in gear or shifting a gear . or taking off... keep yer foot all the way off of it.any little pressure on the pedal while driving will make it slip. thus frying it. a characteristic of a smoked clutch disk .is a very foul stink.kinda like a nasty fart .only expensive.

Probably your drving habits, more than likely yur 'riding the clutch' basicly you want to release the clutch so that the car is just beyond stalling. don't lug it but if you shift with too much gas your driving may be smooth but you'll kill your clutch

It might not have been adjusted right. It should last until 130k miles or more. You are correct that it went out too early. If the engine threw a rod I bet he would say it's maintenance also

That's a bunch of bull. Talk to his boss, and on and on. If you're a woman, bring in a man to talk. You say nothing, let man talk.
