Past is past , if u r an Indian according to our culture even if our enemy comes to our home we should offer him all diginity and serve him food stomach full. So I think u have to treat him just like anyone who has come to ur house as a guest.
Live in present and think about future.

i cant believe this. cooking for an ex boyfriend. just offer a glass of cold water and ask him to chill. maybe a cuppa tea and some biscuits. If he's a good friend and you guys have broken mutually, then you might cook some simple sandwich to go with cold coffee. thats it i say

cook the best dish you can or his favourite dish in best possible taste & make him realize that what he has lost. as an old saying goes, the way to a man's heart is through his tummy, he should be made to realize what he has lost.
once he drops a direct or indirect hint about it ( say he praises the food again & again) just show him the door.

Spagetti.
It's cheap, quick, and almost impossible to screw up.
Use a canned spagetti sauce. No point doing a fancy sauce from scratch for an ex..
The question is, why are you cooking for him, anyhow?

Nothing. Why would you want to cook him anything? If you have to fix him something, then fix whatever he loves to eat and you feel like fixing. Do it out of love not for revenge or hate. Then leave this loser and find some one worth your while/love/time.

If it is him alone, plan to spoil his meal in every possible way you can.

Normal food. Why give him the satisfaction of knowing that he can still affect you, Life should move on without him having the satisfaction. Invite your current boyfriend for your satisfaction that you have already moved on
