if your useing paint there is an option that says 'save as' and click on the jpg format from the drop down bar thing

Open the BMP in paint, then click FILE and save as, when the window appears, in the "save as Type" box click the little down arrow and select JPEG.

The easiest thing you can do is use a photo edidting software like paint shop pro. Open the picture then save it as a jpeg

Open it in MS Paint and then "saveas" jpeg or gif.

"Save As" and when the window pops up that asks for a name and for a location to save it to..then type the name you want with the ending .jpg .. for example..if you have a picture of your cat Missy and the picture is called Missy.bmp then open it and "Save as" and call it Missy.jpg...or right click on it and choose "Rename"
