Does anyone have an idea what "Mary Janes Last Dance" and "Runaway train" by Tom Petty are about? What about "Hotel California" by The Eagles? I think "Runaway train" is about suicide, but Im not sure, and Ive heard lots of different ideas about "Hotel California". Any reasonable thoughts would be appreciated!

I think that Mary Jane's last Dance is about quitting drugs (Mary Jane is slang for marijuana).

If you watch the video to Runaway Train, it's all pictures of missing children. In fact, when the video was popular (and MTV still played videos) the pictures changed from time to time.

Hotel California is a total f****ing mystery to me, but it's a damn good tune. :)
