It's painful as hail and the worst part is when you shower I keep bleeding all over my feet not to mention when I get out of the shower I have to grab a pad fast before I start bleeding all over the floor too.But a least when I get older I can have kids that and me being able to make excusses and get away with it is the only good side of it.

It is horrible for me the week before and the first couple days of the period. After it is over, I generally feel mor energetic, however I feel guilty of my over my emotional swings toward other people. I try to monitor my behavior when it is that time of the month. I really would like to avoid people altogether, but that is not realistic when you have children and a job.

For some women it is, but for most it runs anywhere from a mild inconvenience to a time of moderate discomfort that can be treated with OTC pain meds. Myself, I've never had the serious cramping and such that other women complain about, but I definitely believe that it happens, because my sister always had bad problems every month and had to take meds for it.

Nah...it's unfair maybe but not horrible.

Some women have pain, many do not. For me and my daughters, it was an annoying inconvenience, comparable to a headache.

It can interfere with normal activity, but it doesn't have to. The healthier you are, the less your periods will affect you. It's part of the price we pay for being superior to men. (Just kidding)

I wouldn't say "horrible"....I'd say things like war, losing a loved one & that type of thing go in the horrible column. I'd say having a "period" is not at all fun & can be inconvenient & somewhat unpleasant.
I'd say if anyone puts it in the actually "horrible" category, they have had a fortunate life & not really experienced "horrible".
I hope that makes sense.

Horrible, yes. My cramps are so bad, I just roll into a ball and lie on

my bed, it feels so painful. But periods are not the same for every

girl, although I think most of us wouldnt say we love it.

Yes, but it is not quite as terrible ever since my doctor started me on the pill. If you have really bad cramps or excessivly long periods (mine were 10+days) the pill is a good way to allivate that.

It can be, some women bleed heavier and have longer ones that others. Some women are really irritable and emotional, and some aren't.... I don't cramp that bad, but some women do really bad, so i guess it is horrible for some, but not for all.

Horrible? No. Maybe for some with other issues. Could I live without it? You bet.
