Yeah I was thinking about the dinner thing, they are from the south so I'm not good with this gift idea stuff.

Oh I forgot to tell you all, I visited them in Texas, I live in New York. Thats why its hard to pick out a restaurant unless I ask them which they like.

create like a movie basket.. did this with my sister for a friend.. got a cute tin bucket.. filled it with microwave popcorn, some boxes of movie theater sized candies.. and a dvd.. it's a cute idea.. dress the bucket up with rafia so it all dont sink to the bottom.. :)

I think you should send them a gift card to a restaurant and some movie tickets. I agree that you should offer to watch the kids so they could enjoy some quality time together, too.

I know if I was in their shoes, I'd really appreciate a simple thank you card with a nice note in it along with a gift card for $20, or $25 dollars to a grocery store.

Or, I'd appreciate a nice card with a note that you'd like to sit with the kids for a night so they could enjoy an evening out alone.

Harry and David have many gift towers and baskets to choose from, any fruit basket or food based gift is always a good host gift.

A nice gift card for dinner, or backpacks full of school supplies for each kid, or some other token that would help them save a bit of money. That is always appreciated.
