MS Word is part of the MS Office package sold by Microsoft. If you are a college student you can purchase an Educational version from your school. If you are not, you can purchse it from any software store.

If you don't want to support Microsoft or have an aversion to paying for software, you can download OpenOffice. This is an open source version of Office and will accomplish everything you need it to without draining your wallet of $200-$300.

http://www.openoffice.org/ is the site to get OpenOffice.
