I have had these stainless pieces for ages. I have my own well. Lately sometimes when I open the dishwasher I find faily deep rust spots. What cah cause this or how to stop it. Would like some help here

I had the same problem. Other than the fact that I bought cheap flatware, I think the dishwasher detergent has something to do with it. I switched to Cascade Complete dishwasher gel (recommended by Consumer Reports) and the spots went away. The rest of my dishes look better too.

Sounds to me like you got cheaper flatware, or more likely that some bleach or other source of chlorites is finding its way into your dishwasher.

It's because they aren't drying fast enough. Try something like Jet Dry. Dish Washing Liquid with Lemon will also cause rust.

Happens to me, too. Not sure what causes it but JetDry keeps it from happening
