No experience but there are breeder's lists in the back of a magazine called Critters. Get it at Petco or Petsmart.
I want one, but live in California, where everything is illegal is seems.
Good luck and have fun. Give the little guy a pat for me.

I would imagine that having a skunk would be like having a raccoon or squirrel...both of which I had as a child. I have many fond memories of playing with Lucky and Barney. They were such good friends that Lucky (the squirrel) would ride on Barney's back.
Unfortunately, that's how we lost them both in one shot...they were hit by a car. So, my best advice is to get one, love it with all your heart, and just make sure they stay well away from the road.
Good Luck

I know some people that used to keep them for pets, I played with them as a child. They make good pets when de-scented. I think they are really interesting too and quite intelligent. You would have to be careful though so the neighbors, friends etc. know you have them and don't set traps or try to kill them, as many people would be afraid of them.

puppy skunks are criminal to own in each state except CA, WA, Alaska and Hawaii...They make great pets, yet are very not straightforward to take care of. The fragrance glands of a skunk might want to be bumped off even as they're young children so as that could no longer something to be troubled about. Skunks are captive bred in various states!

They can make good pets, but remember that skunks are still wild animals and may bite or claw.
