Of course, anything to make a quick buck.
There are way too many remakes and lame ones at that.
But in the 50's there were lots of remakes.
Hitchcock remade some of his movies as well. He remade The Man Who Knew Too Much and the remake was better! But not everybody is Hitchcock.
Speaking of Hitchcock. Psycho is a perfect masterpiece. Its one thing to remake a movie, but why would Gus Van Zandt remake a masterpiece, is he stupid? You can't remake perfection and you shouldn't thats for sure.

yea i think the'll always be around, i just saw the wicker man tonight, i didnt know that was a remake, man was that movie funny
