People do have the physical ability to talk and drive at the same time but it is very dangerous. Especially when people are having an exciting conversation. This includes calling in on radio shows and winning prizes or having a heated argument with someone.

You lose focus on other drivers and stop driving defensive.

in certain states, its against the law to talk on the phone and drive unless you have a hands free device like a ear phone and mic.
you get a ticket for doing so

Very well. But it is important that you be extra aware of your surroundings, and forget about trying to write anything down!
Changing the radio, loading up cd's, eating, talking can be more of a distraction.
Talk about distractions, my 3 and 6 year old sons screaming in the back of the van, that'll drive you nuts!

No, everytime I tried, I couldn't stay in my own lane.
My passenger would yell at me to save their own life.
After about 3 attempts of that, I quit and wish everyone else would too. It also makes people drive slower and it irritates me to be behind someone who won't go at least the posted speed limit.

personally i think it's a lil dangerous, cuz u should focus on driving, because if you're talking and you're friend is telling u something interesting, you'll lose your concentration on driving, so i recommend Blue Tooth...it's the best

Physically yes, but some cities have made it illegal since it distracts drivers.
