i have a computer i built a long time ago in 2005 and i overclocked recently from 2.8 to 3.02 and it worked perfect but then the next day when i woke woke up when i tried to use it the computer was frozen so i had to turn it off by holding the power off button but after that when i tried to turn it back on it turned on but the screen did not do anything so i dont know if its because i overclocked my cpu or what i even reset the cmos several times, is my cpu burnt!! or is it my motherboard please help!!!!!!

its a onboard video card and i know my monitor is working because i tried it with another computer and i have two monitors but both of them didnt work on the computer

I think first u should check the cable connecting ur monitor with the CPU and the power cable of ur monitor.
If ur monitor is working ok...it should show something on the screen...if it still does not work check if u have changed the screen resolution settings. It happens that if u have changed the screen resolution it will show blank screen. Try to start ur PC using the SAFE mode option.And then change th resolution of ur screen to the previous setting.

You just might need a new monitor. Make sure all the cables are connected and the monitor is on. You might check the control buttons on the monitor. You might have accidently hit the contrast and made it dark.

I suspect it is your video card.I had the same problem with a thrift store buy.I changed out the video card and now the computer works.

incorrect settings for video card that are out of determination for that computer screen? with no kind and make of the computer screen, only a wager. possibly you may want to boot to threat-free mode and word if popular low res VGA 640x480 might want to demonstrate precise. if so, you may reload the video motive force and reboot.

Did you join a power cable to your monitor? if No, then join else, you can check the other cable goes into CPU whether you joint that cable or not!..

did you check to see if the monitor is plugged in? yea i know... sounds like a smart aleck answer.... but you would be surprised how easy it is to have a plug wiggled just right and then it doesnt work

check ur video card and seated right or burnt ram
