That's just to keep it fresher for 18 years or more. It also decreases the volume that they don't have to fill with product.

As for the prize? I'm betting Cracker Jack has some kind of patent rights or some legal mombo-gombo on that.

Possibly not though. When I was a kid just about every box of cereal had some little piece of plastic crap prize in there. I'd often pick a box of cereal just for the prize and then have to suffer through the icky brand. I remember Rice Krinkles having GREAT prizes and tasting like dust.

Most likely reason? The Crunch N Munch people are cheap.

They could just sell it in a bag, but I guess they wanted to be different from the Cracker Jack folks by putting their bag inside a BOX. As for the Cracker Jack prizes...I remember when I was a kid, they used to be good prizes! Now all you get is a freakin' tiny sticker or something.

Crunch and munch is in a bag to preserve freshness. The box is not airtight and oxygen does a number on popcorn, which is why we always buy the giant tub of popcorn at the movies and never go back to get the free refill. We know we won't eat it and it'll be bad in the morning.

authentic. Like Cracker Jack, Crunch n' Munch is woefully short on peanuts. nonetheless, the carmel corn demands very much of power to top digest and bypass thoroughly, making the product in my opinion "metabolically independent." pollanswer: "A"

Because they want you to feel like you are getting more for the price they charge. The prize is the pretty silver bag.

Just like the other cereals, to keep it fresh.

Buy Cracker Jacks, they still have prizes.
