If you have good rain gear, riding in the rain is awesome!!
I once rode my Hurricane through a hurricane.

Rain isn't so bad if your prepared. The best thing would be a helmet with a face shild. However if your half as stubborn as me and hate that clostrophobic feeling, then its really simple. I always pack a bandana or two in my fork bag. along with my night glasses and insulated gloves. When it starts raining I simply swap gear. Clear glasses becuase its darker and vision is not as good. Gloves to keep the hands nice and warm. And the bandana over my face to protect it. I have been doing this for several years and it works wonderfully. I look like I just robbed the local 7-11.
I for one hate parking my bikes, therefore I ride in any weather even snow unless the roads get to icy to safely hold the bike up.

Maybe wearing your gear, including helmet, like a responsible rider will keep those nasty raindrops off of your tender, baby-butt soft face ong enough to avoid hitting a concrete barrier like a howitzer shell.
