Until about 5 years ago, I was quite anti-tattoo. But now I really want to get one (nothing huge or crazy, though). I think in general, society is more accepting of tattoos on men than women, although it has changed in the last few years. I don't really judge people with tattoos...I'm fascinated by people who have a lot of them. Miami Ink (on TLC) has become one of my favorite TV shows.

I try not to judge. In fact I know that I don't judge about the person, but when there are too many it does look dirty. If someone gets a tatt I like to see real works of art, nothing worse than a bad tattoo. My daughter has faeiries all over her back and i love her like there is no tomorrow, so i think it is silly to judge. i really like hearing people's stories behind their tattoos, hey that just gave me an idea for a yahoo question, thanks.

They're OK. I think they are acceptable on anyone who wants to endure the pain. I don't judge people on looks, so it doesn't matter to me. It's funny - where i work we are always having little things for the kids and in July they do xmas in July - well, the guy who plays santa (and has for the past 40 years) is this big biker dude who has his arms covered in tatts - it turns out he is one of our hospitals biggest contributors and the nicest guy - just judging him on his looks you miss out! Anyway, I have three - all of which can be covered by shoes and socks - i kind of regret all but one now. It's something you have to think long and hard about b/c it's with you for a long time after you get it. I know nursing homes are going to look pretty funny in about 35-40 years when all the people my age are wandering around at 65-70 with tribal bands around their biceps, butterflies on their backs and roses on their boobs. LOL But my Gram wants to get one if she "makes it to 90" how funny is she?

I think large amounts of tattoos are still more acceptable on men than on women. Just one or a few though are acceptable on both. I hope people don't judge, since I have one. My tattoo is usually covered with clothing, so it is hardly seen.

My chest, back and arms are covered in tattoos. My stepdaddy had two, I was always fascinated by them. I went once a mounth for three hours, for seven yrs. And yes I do judge when I see what I call blotch tattoos, little ones so small that you have to ask what it is.

Judge them? Certainly.. about the same as I might judge a smoker. I wonder why they would do this to themselves and what phase in life they are in to need to do something like this? If they say it's a stupid teen mistake when they were drunk and they're embarrassed, then it's a good laugh. Otherwise, I think the general consensus sterotypes of thug, punk, poseur, tramp, trashy category all comes to mind.

Sure my answer isn't politically correct or popular, but those of you trying to delude yourself into thinking it's cute, or sexy, or a turn on.. are just that - deluding yourselves.

I think people who have tattoos are bad people. Why put something so permanent on the body that God created ? Why hurt yourself and scar your body? These tattoos are so foolish. Yes, I judge people with tattoos. I can't stand them. I actually am scared of those people.
