how do i type exponents on microsoft word?

i went to insert symbols and i found a 2 and 3, but nothing else.

Go to Format then Font and check on superscript.

In a Word document:
Select the character
click Format
cl Font
cl superscript
cl o.k.

For example, for cl2 (with 2 superscripted)

Type cl2
select 2 only
cl Format
cl Font
cl superscript
