I'm 21, sort of a tomboy (but try hard not to be TOO much), and have to find something for an upcoming wedding. I'm usually just in a t-shirt and jeans, so i'm not real great at the whole "dressing up" thing. The wedding is for one of my boyfriends best friend. It's in Texas this coming Saturday at 4:30 in a Lutheran church? Any suggestion?

Dress for the time of day (afternoon wedding) and for the weather. Pastel, knee-length or up to 2 inches above the knee, short sleeved dress. Chiffon or silk (look-alike fabrics are fine). A quiet print is fine. Low-heeled shoes, neutral color and nude pantyhose. Small purse, shoulder strap okay, in a neutral color (if matches shoes, great). No hat, no gloves. Small gold or pearl (faux is okay) (umm..faux means fake) earrings. Gold chain or pearl necklace is fine. Borrow whatever you can. Have fun and catch the bouquet!

I would suggest a skirt and a top. I would keep the colors not too dark. I know it my be a little difficult to find light colors now because the fall colors are out now. But check out the sale racks. If you wear jeans all the time look for a skirt that is A-line.
that's a shape that is not totally straight. They are the most comfortable and look great on most body types. Look for tops that have a color that flattering to you and a nice neck line that will bring the eye up to your face. I hope this helps and good luck.

Keep it simple and if you have to buy something new, make it something you'll wear again. You could probably still get away with something summery, like a summer dress or skirt in a cute color. Black is always simple and easy to accessorize and it's never a bad idea for a girl to own a little black dress. Dress up something simple with some cute accessories and some simple heels and you'll be good to go!

i do think you should wear a dress but if u want an edgy look to ummm... well this is pretty hard but try something... umm.. here's a tip if it's for someone special i believe if u care about them u can risk a day having to wear a dress. plus u dont want to wear like a black dress or people will pay more attention to u than the bride and groom.

1st of all it is hot so something loose. Since you do not dress up often you should make it a little girly this time. I have a dress in mind I added a link to it. You do not have to spend this much but I like the shape because it is loose and has nice print that can be worn with flats. So a dress with kimono sleeves.

If you aren't comfortable going with the cute skirt type, then I'd suggest you wear some type of dress pants, any color will do. And wear a cute shirt to go with it. You don't want to be uncomfortable for the whole day.....
