I just installed yahoo messenger 3.0 on my mac, and I can't get it to display my avatar. Can someone help?

To get your avatar to display on Yahoo! Messenger for Mac, you need to enable that option.
On the menu bar, click "Yahoo! Messenger" and then select "Preferences..." from the drop-down list. In the Preference window, click on the "Display Image" tab and then select the "Avatar" button. Your avatar will now be displayed in the Y!M window.
Note: Your avatar will not be displayed if your status is set to "Invisible to Everyone".

When I change my images on YM, it always takes a little while to notice a change. Sometimes it doesn't take effect until I quit, and comes back when i re-open the app.
If that doesn't work, or your patience is wearing thin, try deleting the .plist for the messenger. Quit Yahoo Messenger, and then in Spotlight or the finder, search and delete all files that begin with com.yahoo.messenger3 Restart your Messenger, and then those files will be re-created, but you'll have to redo all your settings.
