Hello I'm Linzy and I am trying to make a point about the stupidity of handcuffs. In order to do it I need your help. A lot of people use handcuffs such as law enforcment officals, gaurds, and a whole lot more. I don't see the point however. People get handcuffed behind the back so they can't do anything 'stupid' or 'dangerous'. However the invention doesn't stop anybody from doing anything! All someone needs to do is step over thier hands and the handcuffs will be in front! After that they can do pretty much anything! I know I can step over my hands, all my friends can step over thier hands, everybody I know can do it.
I am doing an experement. With one hand grab your other wrist behind your back. Without letting go get your hands in front of you. You can do this many ways.
1. While standing- with your hands behind your back lean over. Your hands will go down to your ankles then all you need to do is step over them.
2. While sitting- pass your hands under legs all the way down you

3. While lying down-tuck your knees in your chest and pass your hands under your feet.
If you can or can't please sign my guestbook with your gender, age, weight, height, and if you can get your hands in front. (this will determine what kind of people can step over thier hands) which way is easist for you to step over your hands (it could be one not mentioned) and your views on handcuffs. (you chooes what information you want to give I would perfer you to give all of it)

Uh, this isn't a question. The point of handcuffs is to keep law enforcement from being killed. That's not stupid.

Methinks someone is asking for the hinged variety of handcuffs. Even if you can "step through" with the standard chain style (and most people can't), the hinged style should make it a whole lot harder.
Actually, there is a flaw in the experiment. The proper equipment is not in place! :-)

Wow that was fun. Try it with real hand cuffs under the control of a real cop. It's slightly more challenging.
Also, the average person we put restraints on isn't able to do what you are suggesting. Somthing tells me you weigh about 100lbs and are shorter than 5'8". You probably have a small shoulder diameter, waste and legs.
My suggestion - don't try your idea when you are under arrest.

Things are designed for the majority, they don't test those things out on 12 year old little girls, that would be sort of illegal. Anywho, most criminals who've needed to be cuffed were either, too stupid, or not as flexible.

Real handcuffs do not work that way. The way they lock them on an adult is almost impossible to do what you have stated.

That might work in the movies, but it really doesn't work at all in real life.
Even if it does work for some people, they still have their hands bound six inches from each other, which doesn't allow you to do much
