Respect.

It's about how he interacts with other men as well as the ladies. He must have good manners and know how to to treat all the people around him not just the woman that he is trying to impress.

The definition of gentleman is posted below. And honestly, I have to say what a defintion! I never expected to find a word that I so easily agree with when it is broken down to help us all better understand.

For me though, a gentleman is one who chooses qualities that are above the norm; above society's callings on his life, and listens to the callings on his life from God. He is one who is pure at heart, a steward to others, listens, has a royal heir, and like it defines...has no job just has the means to truly provide for his family.

Praise God I found a man who is willing to choose such a path! He may be still working a job today, but in a few short years that will be history because he will be able to porvide for his family they he has been called to do by God! Thank goodness for business ownership!

Anyhow, that is my feelings on how to describe a gentleman...I look to my husband; because he truly is a gentleman! :)

Good manners, good dress, and a willingness to listen to those he's with. A true gentleman is good at making others comfortable and, when it's needed, willing to share the limelight.

I think a gentleman is a man who truly adores and reveres women. He respects them and honors them. He will open doors, hold chairs and coats, and treat them well because he was taught well. He considers women to be precious, and he treats them accordingly.

As I was taught by my Father, never hit a lady, treat her with respect, pay check when you ask her out and open doors for her.
