Apart from jsut creating the awareness, what else can wwe do on Eart's Day. I suggest we plant some trees, but what else?

We have enough trees. Earth Day is a pagan ritual. the Earth will get along without you. How about volunteering in a soup kitchen for a day. That will be a rewarding expierence for you..I promise.
You'll be doing something positive, it will be a good learning experience for you. You don't have to "celebrate" Earth day because you are told to do so on the news. Do something that makes a difference.
"Awareness" what a BS line. What does Earth day "awareness" do?

Definitely plant trees, clean up parks, or roadsides. Plant flowers, toss grass seed etc etc Anything that celebrates The Gaia Earth and all her plentifulness :)

one good idea would be not to ask so many questions ....
but a peaceful demonstration to end shite and war would be a good idea ... trees you have to buy and plant where ? but to organise a sit in is probably simpler and less costly ..
to stop bombing and wars is also very good for the envirnoment ... trees can be bombed
so if you care for that first .. maybe we have a chance to let the planted trees grow tall
what do you say ?

(1) On Earth Day we could make sure all our electric plugs have that third yellow and green striped wire to avoid electrocution.
(2) On Earth Day, if we dig the earth that much, we could each go out and buy a spade.
(3) On Earth Day we could say: "What on earth are you on about? It's time to come down to earth and stop asking silly airy-fairy questions of other Yahoo users!".

Get some friends and ask the park rangers if you could clean the park, recycle, and plant flowers

how abt organising garage sales, collecting recyclables (newspapers, old clothes, old magazines) to sell to the recycling co? This educates and create awareness too

We should honor the Earth and try to protect it from wilful harm every day. This crowded little planet is our home, and if we trash or burn it down, may God have pity on us all!

Clean up your neighbourhood.Create awareness amoung the little ones regarding ill-effects of pollution.Don't waste paper always.....i guess dats it.
