mine sucked to/ when i was a freshmen my older brother was a senior/ our school at that time allowed initiations/ the seniors walked around with packages of multi colored magic marker. no freshmen was safe/ many of my friends were caught/ somehow i managed to escape but it was really bad being afraid that year/ the worst one i saw was one of my friends was tied to the post on the bridge with his pants down around his ankles/ the seniors had taken that black electrical tape and covered his entire face including eyebrows and goti/ it was horrible for him

Not bad, actually. I'm in eleventh grade now, and I've lost some of my friends that I had in my freshman year, but I've also gained some new ones. High school is in itself an adventure throughout the course of it, and it all depends on you to make it fun or miserable. My freshman year, I got involved in things I was interested in, like drama, band, and chess club. Try joining groups that interest you and you will probably find some good friends that will help you stay on the right track and keep you out of fights.
Freshman year is always hard, with some people from middle school trying to reinvent themselves and others just trying to stay themselves in an ever-changing world. It's almost guaranteed that your group of friends will change, but not necessarily all of them. Keep the friends that are uplifting and help you when you're in times of trouble. They will be the ones who will be with you throughout the tumultuous waters of high school.
And just because upperclassmen are older doesn't mean that they are smarter or wiser than you. You'll find out, in time, that you are a lot more intelligent than some of them, or know more common-sense things.

well, i'm a freshman now and so far i only had four days of high school. so far, the classes seem alright and there are TONS of people at my high school and it's sooooo much bigger then my middle school.
i'm kinda feel a bit out though cause i came from a small private school to a large public one and i don't know that much people. -_-' oh well. i know there are plenty of times where i get to meet new people but it seems like everyone already had their own groups and i don't really feel like i'll get some really close friends like some of my old friends.

I wasted alot of brain power freshman year. I was in love with the
man that I eventually married. We skipped a WHOLE lot of school that year.
