I have my 20 week ultrasound on Tuesday and I am really starting to get nervous that they will find something to be wrong. I had a miscarriage in Jan and they think that it was a blighted ovum....Everything has gone good with this pregnancy with no bleeding cramping and normal pregnancy symptoms. They found the heartbeat right away soon as they put the dopplar on my stomach when i Was 12 weeks at my first appointment...My uterus is measured 18 at my 17 week doctor appointment...They say everything seems fine..But I am starting to freak out that they will find something wrong, there is no history on either side of our family for birth defects either..should I worry about anything?????

I think everyone worries about this before an ultrasound. And there's nothing anyone can say or do to make you stop worrying. Sounds like things are going well, and you're worrying for no reason, but a normal pregnancy and healthy baby truly are miracles, as you well know.

Good luck Tuesday, and congratulations.

I am 19 weeks pregnant and I had the ultrasound at 18 weeks. I totally understand your anxiety and I was feeling the same. But of course, you are more worried coz of the miscarriage. Miscarriage is nature's way of eliminating something that is not perfect. So I wud just say dont worry abt the ultrasound as everything has been good and normal with ur current pregnancy.

With normal family history, the chances of anything wrong are extremely slim.

Once you see the munchkin jumping around on the ultrasound screen, you will realise how wonderful this all is. And you can now also find out if it is a boy or a girl.

Good luck!

I'm sure everything is fine. Just try to relax, enjoy your pregnancy. Maybe you should find a hobby or project to pre-occupy your time, so you worry less.

Since you're 20 weeks now would be a great time to take some photos! Then you can start working on a scrap album for the baby.

Congratulations, good luck, and belly rubs! :)

Whatever is meant to be is meant to be. I know a woman who had four misscarraiges before she had three beautiful children. A miscarraige is actually just a blesssing in disquise. Even though it must have been painful, at least a child did not have to live in this world with not a complete 100% chance. You are way ahead of the three month window, I am sure you will be fine. Good luck.

If you worry about it you will just put you and your baby through unneeded stress. I had 2 miscarriages in the past and my current pregnancy has been perfect. Everything happens different in every pregnancy and stressing about it won't help anything @ all. Just relax and enjoy preparing for your baby!

Chill out! If everything has gone fine this far, I would say that everything is OK. Try not to stress and worry. You will be half-way there on Tuesday! I hope this helps.

I think a lot of women get really scared. Just find something to occupy your mind and your time so you will have something else to concentrate on. Pray a lot and ask for peace of mind.
