I was wondering why teenagers like ipods? I've found a few i-pod hate websites as well....How do YOU feel about ipods?

Hi Ariel,
Its quite nice to see someone being against iPod's, its good to see how the other end of the spectrum looks like.
Its not just the teenage generation that loves iPod's its everyone who looks for a simple solution to organise their multimedia content in a cool easy to use package.
Understanding the phenomenal success requires one to look at the time when they were introduced, everyone in the world was filing lawsuits against digital music sites and nobody was encouraging the use of digitized music. Teens were especially attracted to this concept and Apple introduced a device that precisely did this...and it was a runaway success because at that time companies like Sony were busy pushing CD Walkmans.
All said and done, the iPod by far has the easiest user interface on the device and on the computer and it allows easy syncing of not only your Music but also Videos, Photos, Podcasts, Notes, Calenders and Contacts...all Apple needs to do is add a GSM aerial to make it into a smashing cellphone.
So to sum up its ease of use, loads of features and a cool look that makes it go straight into everyones hearts...

I love it. It has alot of features and it's really nice. Some people probably hate them because their screen broke. But what gets me is that they will complain and then say something like all I did was put it in my pocket. Yeah it's small, but it's not necessarily made to fit there. Your Ipod will not bend so why not get a nice case. Yeah nice cases cost alot but believe me it's worth it. I know everyone dosen't do stupid things like that and still end up with an broken screen, things happen. Use the warranty people, that's what it's for. Oh yeah, the Ipod is really nice though.

I'm 14 and I really don't know anything about an ipod except it's like the size of a cell phone and holds music.I could never afford one and even if I could i'd spend my money on something more important.I do think it's a pretty cool thing though.

Cool technology. Teens love gadgets, especially up to the minute ones. They are cute, small and u can keep all ur fave songs in one place and share them with ur friends. I love ipods, especially when i travel, it means i dont have to cart about a ton of Cd's and then get on the plane and realize my fave song is on a CD in my case.

They're very convenient and novel. That's why people like them. Plus, the newer models, such as the nano, are quite versitile. You can store not only music, but pictures on them. And, just an FYI, it's not just the teenage generation that likes them. Many adults are into them too.

Well, yea they are popular. I mean they are cool and all, but they are really expensive. I have a MP3 but its not an ipod. I think it is RETARDED that the only kind of accessories you can get are ipod accessories. I mean do they think everyone who loves music is made of money or something. And another thing is that apple downloads are 99 cents. You can get downloads for cheaper if you have a regular mp3

Well, since my i-Pod isn't working, I don't love them. It sucks that is cost so much, and I can't even get the thing to work. I like my mp3 player much better. They're basically the same thing, but the mp3 player was much less.

ipod is ubercool, and its the in thing, nicely hyped but delivers as good as its hype. Its the same as Walkman was 20 years back and Diskman 10 years back.

Well, i believe it's because we are no longer in the generation where people use walkmans etc. I personally love ipods because I can listen to my music everywhere and personalize my ipod.

The teenage generation love Ipods because they are very compact, and they like to show off to their friends that they got it.
As for me, I would like to have one, but they are WAY to expensive to get the one I want, and you have to get all of these songs online, and it justs adds to a whole amount of money.
I like them, but I would rather buy clothes and things I need.
