Why is it that you people want to use this as a political forum to get your views across and vote best answers based on your agenda instead of being honest with yourselves and chose what is truly the best or most truthful answer? You have a place for comments after chosing the best answer where you can put a rebuttal making your point. You people need to be honest, it is very obvious when you chose answers based on your agenda as opposed to the truth, and it takes away from what you are trying to get across.

I agree with you, but only a little. There are some questions that are asked not looking for a true best answer, but the best answer that meets there agenda. I will agree that some questions are asked in a way that a persons own bias dictate what will be the best answer, and I have no problem with those. Think of it like this, people say Bush lied people died. Well if Bush lied didn't Clinton, Kerry, most of the leaders in this country and most if not all leaders in other countries and The U.N. since they all said the same thing and even before Bush ever did? It is true we all have an agenda, but when you ask a question that is mostly neutral you should pick a best answer based on what is best not what meets an agenda. I have an agenda with this question too, it is that some people just can't handle the truth and must agree with those that help promote their agenda.

You have helped make my point. I just am trying to let both sides know that most of us know the truth and that they are not choosing a best answer, but one that help promote their agenda. I don't expect to change a thing with this post. I just wanted to make a point the same as most of everyone else on here. I so far like what everyone has to say. I know the answer to my question, so for those of you who keep telling me that i need to deal with it for the most part, I am not really complaining, but making a point. I know what my agenda in life is, I also sometimes answer questions based on my agenda and sometimes based on facts, it depends on how a question is asked. If I determine they are looking for 100% truth and facts I answer that way. If I determine they are trying to promote an agenda I answer to promote my own agenda, still using truth and facts. Most of you seem like the type of people that would be the same. I just wanted to see what this question would accomplish.

You are a silly person. The "real" best answer is the one that most closely matches the askers own opinion. That applies here or anywhere else.
Do you actually ask a question here then choose an answer that is not in line with your thinking?
For example, whom will you pick for this question? I obviously have the best answer because your are subjective as I am subjective as is everyone who asks or answers questions here.
By the way I truely hope you don't base any of your important decisions on the answers here! This is for ENTERTAINMENT!

not everyone does! relax! you can check out my choosing of best answer from my question on the BET for instance. not everyone picks the most agreeable best answer, so chill out.
also, you can't expect people to be honest. that is pointless. the reason most people even bother asking is because they want someone to agree with them, as you stated earlier, to further their own "agenda". i know i know, in a perfect world people would pick a real best answer. but you have to remember that there are people on a wide scale of honesty.
some people are merely trying to get a point across and because they lack the self esteem or audience in the real word, they must seek agreeable people on yahoo!answers. don't let it bother you too much, just remember how YOU pick best answers and don't judge others. :)
and i was curious, how will you choose best answer for this question? will the person have to agree with you? or is it the longest? or will it be the one that has evidence to back themselves up? i guess there isn't a perfect way to pick, is there?

To get points. People are teaming up with each other, or creating multiple yahoo accounts, then posting questions and choosing their own, or their friends answers as the best answer. That way they can pervert the idea behind the board and gain whatever is the "thank you" from Yahoo. Since Yahoo chooses not to moderate the board at all, unless something is blatantly in violation, I would expect to see this escalate, not diminish.

Your post isn't going to change that. Reside yourself with knowledge if you answer a question from Liberal but your reply has a conservative slant to it it will not be chose "Best Answer" no matter how detailed and factual it is. What I do in cases like that is I acknowledge fact that because I do not share Authors view I realize I will NOT be chosen "Best Answer"! Its my way of saying I know my reply was best but Authors bias wont see it. lol

I try to answer Best answers but since they changed the time to only 4 days I never make it back in time. I don't have much computer time my life is too busy but by the time I come back my questions are already in voting. I wish they would give a week like they used to

Because it is America and they have the power to choose whatever they want to, just as you do. Although this is the best answer, it doesn't fit your narrow agenda, so you won't select it. Though it is best.
