Political Correctness is such a red herring. I love when people run around screaming "The PC police are after me! I'm a victim! I'm a victim!"
Shut up and get over yourself. Is it too much to ask that people use respect and think before they speak? It seems like some folks feel like such an expectation is an infringement on their rights. RIghts to be idiots, I guess.
You know why I don't use the 'n' word? Because it's not respectful. I don't care what Black folks call themselves, because that's not my business.
Do you really think using hateful speech is some precious right? Well go ahead and use it, but don't be surprised when people think you're a dick. Because, well, you are a dick if you use those words.
So take your PC-madness home and I'll send you a tube of Vagisil.
As far as the White House goes, do like Mojo Nixon said in 1987-
Let's put a Sex Mo-sheen in the White House!
Peace.

The building was originally referred to as the Presidential Mansion. Dolley Madison called it the "President's Castle." However, by 1811 the first evidence of the public calling it the "White House" emerged, because of its white-painted stone exterior. The name Executive Mansion was often used in official context until President Theodore Roosevelt established the formal name by having "The White House" engraved on his stationery in 1901.

The term white refers to the color of the house, the exterior paint.

Because that's the name it was given when it was built. Then when the British burned it down in the War of 1812,it was repainted white. It has nothing to do with being politically correct.

Hhaha. That's pretty funny. I guess because we're surrounded in a politically correct concious environment we over think things. But better to over think than to give the benefit of the doubt! It reminds me of that movie Legally Blonde. The feminist thought it was unfair that it was called "semester" because it contained the word "semen," and thus male-oriented. But, in fact, semester just contains the words "seme" and "stris" which mean "of 6 months duration" - nothing to do with semen or males!

it is a term for the hue ...... ie: color, although white is not considered a color, it is a hue, ..........
and the presidents house has this exact hue painted and/or paneled on the outside of it..if it was Grey,,,, it would be the Grey house.........etc, etc.
i certainly hope you are taking notes on this,,,,,, there may be a test later,,,,,,, on reasons why you should find more productive things to do with your time, and very small mind.
