The best is to go down to HDB hub and talk to the customer service people as there are certain criteria and income involve. The goverment will also give grant of a certain amount to single. Its not a must to buy HDB at the age of 35. Depending on your income and financial status you can also get private property.

You need to be a Singaporean, single and age 35+; qualify to purchase a resale 3 room to 5 room HDB flats in any estate. Meaning, check it up in the "Straits Times" or those flyers in your letter box from those housing brokers and they will give you a more details informations on this HDB resale flats.
