I work at a job that provides great pay AND benefits (much better then I did as a teacher).

I feel as if I am going mad (well "mad" might be a a bit overstating it,)

however.

I like working with people that involve caring for others (that's why I chose teaching, but I couldn't pay my bills) and in turn ALSO are supportive of the people they work with.

This is not the scenario of this position.

As a secondary part to this question: IF you did say yes to "have any of you felt "displaced" at a job?," answer this queation:

"What did you do to resolve it?"

No. I always like what I did even if it did not pay the bills. I learned to be a very savvy consumer. I would, did and still would shop at the Good Will if necessary. If you are a teacher you know that necessity is the mother of invention. Teachers eventually go up in pay...they have strong unions and all show up at the council meeting to show them who the voters are. You have summers off and can find temporary employment. You have tenure and medical coverage. Now I would certainly feel displaced without that coverage. Live smarter. Enjoy what you have.
