I work at a job that provides great pay AND benefits (much better then I did as a teacher).

I feel as if I am going mad (well "mad" might be a a bit overstating it,)

however.

I like working with people that involve caring for others (that's why I chose teaching, but I couldn't pay my bills) and in turn ALSO are supportive of the people they work with.

This is not the scenario of this position.

As a secondary part to this question: IF you did say yes to "have any of you felt "displaced" at a job?," answer this queation:

"What did you do to resolve it?"

I worked in a real estate office as a rental property manager once. Since I wasnt a realtor, and none of them wanted anything to do with property management, I was pretty much the outsider. The properties were all over this big ski resort area, so I'd do a little paperwork in the morning, then take the company car and cruise properties all the rest of the day. Just driving around in the snow, sightseeing, having a long lunch, visiting tenants sometimes, or hanging out at the empty houses, shovelling snow or painting a wall or two. Got pretty boring by the time I quit.

It can happened to any of us. their not on the same level as you. their are there for the pay too. if someone is compassionate about their job they look beyond pay but he bills gotta be paid. teachers never get paid enough. some work two jobs. if they pay for your benefits thats is part of the lure. you are working for those benefits. if they didnt you pay would higher. you should tutor, home schooling, daycare, special education... you haven't found your spot yet.
