He turned it into $ 600 at the slots. Should I expect my $100 back or maybe half of his winnings?

If you gave him the money, it was a gift and you are not entitled to anything back. If it was understood to be a loan, you are entitled to get it back. His winnings are just that, his winnings. If he is any kind of a boyfriend he will share it with you. If he doesn't consider getting a better boyfriend.

You only gave him $100. That's what you should expect back. It's up to him if he wants to give you more than the $100.

You should expect the $100 back. It was a loan I presume, but if it was a gift, as in "I gave him $100", then expect nothing back because a gift is a gift. If it was understood to be a loan, then just expect your $100 back. He made the winnings, you didn't. he keeps the winnings, you get your $100 back, unless it was a gift, in which case you get nothing.

Would you expect the $100 back if he lost $600?

I personally don't feel he's expected to give it back to you unless you specifically said when you handed it to him, "I want that back if you win."

You shouldnt have given him the money in the first place, you have set a bad precedent and he will be expecting money from you all the time. Sounds like he's selfish especially if he didnt offer you any of the winnings at least half. I say get rid of him ,this has shown you a side of his personality you dont really want in a boyfriend hasnt it.

You gave your boyfriend $100?
I love you!!!

But seriously, if the guy has any class at all, he should be giving you the $100 back at a minimum.

Nope. You should expect him to pay for the entire trip. Don't ask for half the money, book a seat at Andre's (in the Monte Carlo hotel, LV) and you'll have the best meal ever AND he's paying!

I would expect the $100 back, or maybe a nice gift.... but then again, he may not think to give it back. After all, if he had lost it you wouldn't get it back...

It would be appropriate for him to willingly and without prompting give you the $100 dollars back. (Splitting the whole lot might be asking too much.) However, he is showing his stripes if he doesn't think he should return the initial amount.
