Depends of course. If you don't have much time and would rather have something you can just look at with low maintenance get a fish. If you want a pet you can pat on the head and cuddle with every once in awhile then get a cat. If you want a pet you can play with and want endless devotion, but has the ability to be naughty every so often then get a dog. But if you want a cool looking pet that you can't really pick up, but love to watch and have both the time, money, and energy then get a lizard of some sort. Even a snake.

What types of animals do you like? I have a ferret(which I wouldn't suggest) They poop and pee everywhere and tear up everything. But I would not trade her for another animal. I also have a dog. Lots of upkeep there too. I had a cat for over 5 years. He was easy to care for. Very independent. Good luck!

you should choose which animal u feel u like best but the most commen is a dog or a cat ive had both before and they both are great so that can narrow it down to 2 a dog and a cat

Guinea pigs are good low maintenance animals but I think ferrets are cuter. Many people don't like them because they stink but that's not true if you care for them properly! People wash them thinking that that will get rid of the smell but it makes their oil glands go into mass reproduction and the oil stinks! And they can be ferret trained if you get them as a kit. (baby).

Because I am a Momcat...may I suggest a cat? They are pretty low maintenance...can be indoor outdoor...you don't have to take them out for a walk (unless you want to)...I have never met a cat that was't smart and didn't pull their own weight i.e. no mice in the house, etc.

What do you think?

depends on where you live and that amount you want to spend. if you live in a neighborhood, a dog or cat would be nice. fish, ferrets or guinie pigs would be kool in an apartment. just have a lot of responsibility
