Each widow of the people in the WTC received millions of dollars. The whole thing was bogus. Why should the govt pay some slut five million for her husband's death? Most of them had no life insurance.
You know what they pay the widow of a soldier killed in Iraq? $25,000

The people in the WT Towers took risks, but they were not stupid. More power to them. Watching the 5th anniversary stuff still makes me cry. The ABC mini-series makes me mad because now both sides (D/R) are distorting the truth just to make political gains. Don't be mad at the widows, be mad at the politicians that are really a fault. It's time to throw ALL the bums out. Vote anti-incumbent - real term limits should occur in the ballot box.

Ann, is that you???

Come on, if these women are getting "millions of dollars" from private sources, it's no one's business. They lost their husbands in a horrific act of violence, which is bad enough, but to be told that they have no right to still be angry about it or, worse yet, find a way to provide for their own (and their now fatherless children's) futures is despicable. I hardly think they're all sitting around a table, money piled high in front of them and asking each other, "Hey, how much did YOU rake in today from your hubby's unfortunate brush with terrorists?" Please. Can we let this issue go? It's really none of our business -- we haven't walked in their shoes.

Some families & widows are going to milk their loved ones deaths for every penny they can get and for as long as they can get it..

I think it's probably like Hurricane Katrina. People still haven't got their money to rebuild yet. Government. Family of firefighters are probably the same way, still haven't received their money. It's not that they just keep getting it. Government wouldn't have that.

You don't understand them, because you're not on the same situations. They deserve what they are getting. You, how far have you done to help those families, where their love one's lost their lives trying to save others?

Where are they getting the money from? As long as it's donations or insurance or something like that, I don't see how it's any of our business. Just leave those women alone, sheesh.
