heat it to a very high temperature.
A magnet attracts metals and other magnets because of its specific arrangement of its constituent particles. If u heat it to a very high temperature the arrangement will be disturbed and the magnet will not remain a magnet then.

extreme high temperatures will cause it to lose it's magnetic properties.

Also extreme mechanical shock or vibration will cause it to lose it's magnetic properties
