I used to just feed mine crickets!!! They love just plain black crickets... the bigger the better! Really just depends how big they are! Oh yeah and put some powdered vitamins on the crickets... not too much or the dragon won't eat it!

Hope this helped some!

Hissing cockroach babies are great but forget the German roaches. You can also feed pink mice when the dragon is as big around the middle as a silver dollar. Feed super worms sparingly as dragons become easily addicted to them and if that happens, will refuse all other insects. Wax worms also make an excellent treat but do not feed every week because of the amount of phosphorus they contain. It is hard to believe that a pet shop runs out of live food. Fresh insects are always best and veggies too. Don't forget about the dandelion greens too. Dragons love them like ice cream. Cricket lunchboxes are available these days. You can purchase at least 3 dozen in the lunchbox and they last about 2 weeks. Fluker farms and Timberline sell them.

Feed an assortment of different foods to keep her healthy and occasionally use a vitamin/mineral supplement that you can purchase at any good pet store. It is made to be dusted on the dragon's food before putting it in her tank. Since both German cockroaches and lobster roaches can climb up a glass tank you want something that will not escape and infest your house. I can tell you without a doubt that if you let German cockroaches get loose in your house you will regret it. They can live and reproduce anywhere and are difficult to get rid of. I've never fed roaches to a lizard but from what I've read on lobster roaches, if they escape they do not thrive and will simply die off. A couple of tins of the canned crickets, caterpillars, grasshoppers, and mealworms that are commercially sold should be kept around just in case you cannot get out for the dragon's regular live food supply. I thought our lizards would just turn up their noses at canned food but surprisingly they seem to love the stuff. It smells really gross but comes in handy when your pet shop runs out of live food. That always seems to happen at an inconvenient time.

To answer your question, I don't know. However, I read on a beardie site that roaches are really good for them.

My dragon eats crickets with a calcium dust, mealworms, superworms on occasion, and lots of lots of salad! I've tried to sneak in some of the "bearded dragon pellets" with his salad, but he won't mess with those. I heard if they are not raisied on them, they won't really mess with them.

Good luck with your dragon, I adore mine!!!
