For music, it's got to be '60 oldies (all types: Motown soul, British Invasion, American pop, whatever!) - and '70s & '80s "classic" rock!!!
Movies - I'm most partial to movies that are based on the lives of REAL people. For instance, "Bonnie & Clyde" (notorious Depression Era outlaws, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow), "Blow" (JOHNNY DEPP movie about the biggest coke dealer EVER, George Jung), and "Almost Famous" (autobiographical movie written by, and based on the life of, rock critic Cameron Crowe, who made a name for himself writing for "Rolling Stone" and "Creem" magazines, even as he was entering high school!).
I also love movies about infamous serial killers, like "Helter Skelter", "Dahmer", "Monster", "Ed Gein", "Gacy", "Speck", "The Green River Killer", etc., etc.! Who needs FICTION when there are SO many REAL-LIFE blood-fests to watch???!
