Some songs....for some reason I've always liked "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

Been a Lightfoot fan since he first came on Don Messer's Jubilee many many decades ago. Great Canadian song writer!

Only the classic "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". It's history and a well sang ballad.

I suspect those that aren't familiar with him have probably heard "Sundown" or "If You Could Read My Mind". I bought the cd listed below for these two songs, and found that I had heard most of the cd.

yes. he's 1 of my favorite old timers so to speak. i had a cassette of his greatest hits and i loved it. very good choice. i mean if u like him. from Canada .

i have always considered him "canada's bob dylan"...and i meanthat in a very good way...
check out johhny cash's version of "if you could read my mind" totally awesome
