I have just recently lived through such a blatantly obvious lie (huge - all encompassing, involved many many people) and it's a story far too long to relate.
the important thing here is that forgiveness causes us to release the resentment, fear and disappoinment that the lie holds on us- and helps us to move on.

WELL, before i met this friend for dinner, i saw him with my Girlfriend holding hand in hand, but when i met him later, he has the audacity to tell me he was hangin out with his male friends.
