You mean religion of peace, right? That's what they purports to be. But as we can see, they use violence to fight any one whom they perceived as enemies of Islam, be it the jews,or the christians.

The reason that Islam is a religion of peace is because when the whole world either converts to Islam, pays submission tribute or is eliminated, then the world will be very peaceful. That is what the peace means. Read about Sayyid Qutb.

The non-terrorists sit at home. Unless they jihad with their wealth.

[004:095] The two are not equal: those who sit at home (and do not join the fighting) _ unless they have a reason; they are handicapped _ and those who strive hard in the path of Allah with their wealth and lives. Over those who sit at home, Allah has excelled and elevated to a higher honor those who strive hard with their wealth and lives. Compared to those who sit at home, Allah will award a far greater reward to those who wage a struggle.

It took 5 years for an Islamic leader to insist that the perpetrators of the 9-11 World Trade Center attacks, to declare that those who committed it in the name of Islam are not going to heaven.

I think your question cannot be answered. Islam looks like its starting to try to be a religion of peace. Too bad its highest-ranked leaders have not made light of "peace" as a significant concept in the religion. Until now.

I'd say that the jury's out on this one.

Just as our government doesn't represent every citizen. The Islamic leaders advocating death and destruction don't represent the larger more complaisant populous of Islamics who follow the true meaning of peace from the Koran as when it isn't ripped and revised to serve the evil fascist forces that want to kill senselessly ...terrorist quote " there's no I in peace."

No, it's a religion of "Peace".

Only the radical clerics and terrorists want violence. The Islamic people do what the clerics tell them to do, regardless of whether or not they want to do it.

Remove the clerics and terrorists, and you'll find a bunch of working stiffs just like us, trying to get through the day, support their families, and live peaceful lives.

Why not?

Try not to identify the working folks with their leaders. If you do, you'll wind up identifying the average American with our leaders. We don't need that sort of insult to our integrity as human beings, and neither do the Islamics.

Well i have very little understanding, but it is the way that this religion and there are others like it,
seperate people into different classes, say religous and non- religous that is dangerous

It creates divisions, who is part of our group and who is not, be it real or superfical, and with divisions of nations that creates conflict.

Yeah... they convert everyone they can and kill everyone else and then they would all agree and there would be peace. Unfortunately they cannot agree with themselves, so it is a bad plan.
