CANADA TO HAND OVER CONTROL OF CANADIAN FORCES

Another glaring example of this trend to follow Washington's dictates, is the Canadian government's acceptance of U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's unilateral declaration that the U.S. Northern Command would have control over Canada. In fact, what the Canadian Government has done, is to accept de-facto U.S. military occupation of Canada. As such, what passes for a government in Canada, has simply ceded control over the formulation of defence policy in the US' favour. Thus, Canadian forces have, in fact, been integrated into the U.S.' Northern Command, which, should come as no surprise, given the close links between the arms industry -Carlyle Group among other companies, which stand to make a windfall from war-mongering

I think Harpers goal is to become the governor of the largest and newest (51st) state of America. He makes me ashamed to be Canadian sometimes and I love Canada. He is a moron. If you hear Harper is about to do something...wait 5 minutes and you will hear georgie is doing the same thing. Example...on Monday PM Harper will address the nation to dicuss 911 and explain why it is important to continue the fight on terrorism in Afganistan. Later i hear....Pres Bush will be addressing his nation on Monday night to discuss 911 and explain why it is important to continue the fight on terrorism in Iraq. I can garentee it will be the same speech written by the same American writer. I am tired of it.

So the U.S. is using its military to protect Canada. Heck, I didn't know that Canada had an army to protect itself in the first place. I didn't know that mounties and beavers counted as a military force....

Well, the only reason we need "protection" via armed forces in Canada anyway is to protect us against all the countries our neighbours keep pissing off.
