The Conservative party is no more than a Bush yes man with a slim minority government He is now threatening the Senate to play ball or else.

Hopefully the vote of non confidence will come soon but which party can we put in that will take us away from this mess?

Harper is about to allow a unified North American command structure - This means that the US will be giving orders to the northen unit of it's sphere.
Translation America is in direct command of the Canadian Armed forces. Is that why we are in Afganistan and harper won't budge?

We need this guy out - Where is our Govenor General when we need her so much - She has to kick his butt and she has to consider appointing another party to govern until an election can be called

CANADA TO HAND OVER CONTROL OF CANADIAN FORCES

Another glaring example of this trend to follow Washington's dictates, is the Canadian government's acceptance of U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's unilateral declaration that the U.S. Northern Command would have control over Canada. In fact, what the Canadian Government has done, is to accept de-facto U.S. military occupation of Canada. As such, what passes for a government in Canada, has simply ceded control over the formulation of defence policy in the US' favour. Thus, Canadian forces have, in fact, been integrated into the U.S.' Northern Command, which, should come as no surprise, given the close links between the arms industry -Carlyle Group among other companies, which stand to make a windfall from war-mongering

I don't know enough about Canadian politics to really answer this. But why does this guy get all thumbs downs for asking an intelligent question - whether you agree with him ot not? Yet we'll greet the dumbass who asks 'how big is your schlong?' with a round of applause.

Seriously guys, object to his politics by all means, but if you have nothing more useful to offer than some idiotic ad hominems or a '***** liberal' type comment how about you shut up?

The Liberals, with NDP pressure. They can still take advantage of the unpopularity of these ventures and get back in office--with the help of the NDP again.

Just look for a candidate with a bright yellow stripe down his back. And doesn't care about anyone else other than him self.

no party can take you away from "this mess"

if you don't go out and deal with "this mess", it will come to you

you can stay in canada and try to pretend that if you ignore it it will go away, and then your skyscaper will explode or you subway will be gassed or you dam will be demolished

you can run, but you can't hide
